Welcome to Al Beb (meaning “the door“). We are situated in the popular holiday resort of Torquay and would like to welcome you through "the door" into our award-winning restaurant, where you can experience the exotic and indulge in the delights of our North African and Mediterranean cuisine amongst walls adorned with traditional artefacts and rugs.

At Al Beb, you can eat on beautiful inlaid tables in the restaurant which has been decorated in Tunisian Blue and adorned by a tented ceiling, the Harem with its more intimate atmosphere, the Kazzbar or the Souk. Each room has its own particular aspect of North African culture and together with the awnings, drapes and beautiful lamps, creates an exotic experience not to be missed.

We have a large selection of vegetarian dishes using only fresh local produce and as everything is cooked fresh to order we cater for most dietary needs including Halal if pre-booked.

For those special occasions and anniversaries, we offer our Sultans Banquet, where everything is presented in large terracotta pots placed in the centre of the table for you to sample as many dishes as you like. Belly Dancing is a speciality on Friday & Saturday nights. We have a varied and exotic range of belly dancers for your entertainment.

Children are more than welcome at Al Beb and we will gladly arrange Belly Dancing Parties with a lesson and an authentic meal in the Harem or Kazzbar rooms.

We are open from 5pm for pre-theatre dinner every evening and for lunches on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. We have an extensive wine list with wines from Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco and the New World.
