Clotworthy, a period Georgian house once being a Coaching Inn, has recently been renovated to a high standard now offering luxury character guest house accommodation being the perfect place to retreat to for that special time away. With well proportioned rooms and high ceilings giving an air of grandeur it’s a wonderful place to come to escape, to relax, to create some special memories.

Located within the beautiful rural village of Winkleigh with many thatched cottages and 12th Century Church Clotworthy is perfectly situated for exploring the whole of Devon and into Cornwall. A short drive and you are on Dartmoor or Exmoor enjoying the peace, tranquility and stunning views both these National Parks are famous for. Less than 20 minutes and you’re sampling the smells and amazing colour that is RHS Rosemoor Gardens. Dartington Crystal, various National Trust properties and the stunningly beautiful North and South Devon coasts are all in easy reach.

Rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, having stripped pine antique doors and king size beds with quality linen set in large spacious rooms. All rooms are en suite having a well appointed free standing designer style bath to lounge in or en suite with large double shower to refresh you. The master suite - a large room with two 2-seater sofas and flat screen TV - has a quality Victorian style en suite bathroom and dressing room. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. Views from all rooms are extensive with the stunning rolling hills of Dartmoor in the distance.

You will be greeted on arrival with a welcoming cup of tea or coffee and fresh home baked cake, relax after your journey in the drawing room with wood burning stove - and grand piano for those who can play. Or if your fancy takes you sit in the gardens and take in some sun.
