Every day with us starts with a real breakfast - a full spread designed to see you through the busy and exciting day ahead. If required, a four course traditional Devon dinner may be booked in advance. Everything is bought fresh daily from the local butcher and greengrocer and is cooked by traditional methods. The homemade desserts are particularly appreciated. Vegetarians and vegans are catered for.

Coastal Fringes is an elegant, lovingly restored Victorian guest house, which is pleasantly situated near the Cairn Nature Reserve and lovely Bicclesombe Park. We are also ideally placed for the famous harbour and the varied restaurants, inns and cafes that Ilfracombe has to offer. The minute you enter the property, after parking your car in our private car park right outside our front door, you are made to feel at home. We combine modern comforts with hospitality of a bygone era. Nothing is too much trouble.

Coastal Fringes Guest House is different and special. There are original architectural features from the Victorian period and all the furnishings and fittings have been carefully chosen to show the house to its best advantage. There are also attractive pictures, plates and antiques to catch the eye, including film memorabilia. Plants are one of David´s hobbies and our guests regularly enjoy discussing the garden, plus there are a number of interesting houses and gardens to visit in the area.

Our Rooms
There are three delightful, individually designed en-suite bedrooms. They are each appointed with quality furnishings and pictures. The facilities are chosen with your comfort in mind. Each has its own sitting area with central heating, TV, DVD, clock radio, hairdryer, trouser press, beverage making facilities and other thoughtful little extras such as our home made biscuits in your room. Access to your room is unrestricted, you can come and go as you please during the day.

The Joan Fontaine Suite
A lovely light and spacious dual-aspect room presented in a contemporary style with a beautifully carved antique French bed. There is a good sized sitting area with comfy armchairs and a large bathroom with a bath and a large walk-in shower. This room is themed with mementos of actress Joan Fontaine. This room also has a 32" television with Freeview.

The Ann Harding Room
A delightful, restful room, painted in relaxing colours with antique Art Nouveau furniture and a beautifully carved antique French bed. This room is themed on 1930s film star Ann Harding. An en-suite shower is included with toilet and basin.

The Gene Tierney Room
A lovely, light, dual-aspect room with en-suite facilities consisting of toilet, shower and washbasin. Relax in the sitting area and enjoy the views towards the Cairn and the Round House. This room is themed on the beautiful Hollywood film star Gene Tierney and is presented in a contemporary modern style.
