What´s so special about Raymont House? Well, for a start we take only one party of guests at a time, which means that you won´t have to share the house with other guests - you will have the private bathroom and dining room to yourself. We can take a single person or anything up to a party of five. Jan and Alan pride themselves on giving their guests their undivided attention when it is required.

Secondly, Raymont House itself is rather special. It´s a spacious and attractive grade 2 listed town house with a long history of adaptation and refinement. The Georgian facade hides what was probably a collection of four ancient cob cottages with an alley between. The alley is now our hall, and the old cob walls are still there.

Then there is the the small ancient market town of Hatherleigh, with its shops, pubs and unspoilt cob cottages lining the old streets.

Beyond the town is the "Ruby Country", an agricultural area that looks pretty much as it must have done for centuries. And beyond that, but within an easy drive, are the delights of Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the rugged Atlantic coastline.

Raymont House is the perfect place to spend some time relaxing, touring, walking or cycling.
